Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Kids' Ski Boots: 3 vs 4 Buckle

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all

my daughter (7) has spent the last 2 winters in Lange RSJ50 3-buckle season rentals and got along really well without any complaints nor pain, hence I want to stick with the brand.

Question, do I get the last and biggest size 3-buckle (21.5 mondo) or do I step up to the 4-buckle RSJ60? she weighs 22kg now. Will be 7.5yrs and maybe 23-24kgs at most next winter. I would by buying as there are some bargains available at the moment.

cheers!

even at 23/24kg i would stick with the 50 at this stage, there seems to be a trend to get kids into boots too stiff which comes from some race clubs, all well and good if she is racing and looking to push things but developing skills and the ability to flex the boot at that age is really important

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Agree. We moved ours up to the RSJ60 just before she was 9 - she definitely noticed the additional stiffness.

thanks. That was exactly my suspicion, too high/stiff boots for featherweight kids maybe not a great idea...
