Looking for some snow blower advice. For those with a place in a ski resort what are you using? I need something than can clear a parking space and quite a long path, possibly after a week or two of snow, or after the snow has sat there for several days and possibly refrozen.
Does it have to be a multi-stage petrol one for that? I'd prefer a battery-powered electric one because it'll need less maintenance and will start every time, but they look a bit weedy.

Electric ones are crap. You can get cheap petrol ones for a few hundred € but they'll struggle in warm, wet or refrozen snow. Anything under €500 is likely to disappoint.

While this is basically correct, I think, we bought ours (MTD 611D) in 2006 and it was about €1,400 - you can buy the equivalent these days for about €700.
If I was buying again, I would defo have cat tracks. I've put chains on mine this year and it makes a huge difference. The wheels are crap.
Actually, having now done a fair bit of reconstruction, the whole thing is pretty crap. You don't get a lot for your money!

I live in an area with light dry snow and have found a battery-operated Stihl leaf blower to be of great use if the snow is not a big dump. If we get a big dump then I have a Honda snowblower which has been very dependable and clears all but the heavy wet snow that I call heart attack snow. Read this article for a proper guidance.
As for lawn cutting, I have a Honda self-driving mower with a bagger that you can adjust how much you want to bag and how much you wish to mulch. It has about 8 speeds and does a wonderful job.
