Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

New inclined elevator in Oz-en-Oisans

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,

Does anybody here know any details about the new inclined elevator being built in Oz-en-Oisans?

I believe it will link the main part of the village up to the top of the Eau d'Olle Express (the new valley lift coming up from Allemond that was completed a year or so ago). All I can find online is one sentence about it from MND (https://mnd.com/en/mnd-continues-its-development-in-ropeways-mobility/).

The webcam (https://ozenoisans.roundshot.com/oz/#/) is showing what looks like diggers starting the earthworks, but I was wondering what the timescales are likely to be and whether it's hoped to be completed for this winter or next?

A good place to look would be:

…but there’s no mention yet.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

No specific info, but I know this has been on the cards for a while. It'll be especially useful for pedestrians as there's currently no way to get between the top of the Eau d'Olle gondola and Oz en Oisans resort without walking along the slippery piste.

For anybody who is interested, the new elevator from the village centre to the Eau d'Olle gondola top station is now up and running. It wasn't operational at Christmas, but is now.
