Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Arc 1800 buses

 Poster: A snowHead

Hello
I'm planning a trip to Arc 1800 next January and was hoping someone could help me with arrival options.

We are flying into Geneva so will be using Bens Bus to get to 1800 which will drop us at Charvet. I'm looking to stay in the Nova building so was just wondering if that was walkable with luggage or whether we would need to use a shuttle bus? If we use the bus, what stop do we need and is the bus free to use and happy to take ski luggage?

Thanks

Hazel

Should be quite easy to walk as about 300mtrs to Nova apartment building.

Bus stops at Charvet which is one end of the principal centre there, go into the shops area, go to upper level (one flight of stairs) in the shop area, you'll come to a wooden deck "village square" as you reach the top of the stairs, straight ahead along the boardwalk past the shops and keep following that pathway, it goes out along the snow front (lifts on your left) past Hotel Golf, with nova next building on the right.

Sounds more complicated than it is when you get there, but really quite close.

You'll be right by the lifts there, a great place to stay. I really like Arc 1800 too, one of my all time favourite ski village. Hope you have a good time.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi
Thanks for the reply, looks like that would be fine to walk, we can manage one flight of stairs better than on and off a bus I expect!

Having done a similar trip recently I would opt for the train over a transfer anyway. I’ll be there in 1800 next January too and will be taking the train to and from.
