Good effort Bob, I just arrived back home (North Wales) today. My mate who is resident in Grindelwald has been knee/waist deep beneath the Eiger today and bombing me with pictures on Whatsap!!
My last powder was 22nd Feb then it dumps when my 90 days are up.....
Keep at it and most of all keep it safe!!!!

@BobinCH, Bob you are reaping the benefits of early starts for your groms. The ValaisGrom started at 2 and a half and I just wish I could be half as good as he is now … at 16! The downside is that if they stay motivated they improve fast and overtake you in every way….

Not been too bad down in our neck of the woods, good tour yesterday (video below), and then just back from another one with @KenX, and the dogs, though was so windy on the ridge was hard work getting the jackets on, and dogs keeping their ears up
That's La Meije left of picture and La Grave / Girose further to the right
And yesterday with Mutley nearly taking me out towards the end.
The conditions are changing very quickly under the heat of the sun. Mont Gelé looking great
Chez Dany not so much!

"Glad" might be an understatement Bob. Phew, I was watching the video thinking it looked a bit "sluff-ey".
Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Looked a lot more tempting from the angle we approached from!
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Not so worried about the sluff but people dropping in above you is a problem! I think the route we took was safer as it had islands of safety like where we started from and under the rock. Coming in from above there was a convex crown that looks like is where it went. But it’s certainly a lesson about what can happen with a rapidly warming fresh snowpack!
Avi3 round here but that’s when most accidents happen, since some localities are off the scale.
Very bad fracture layer deep in the snowpack at Col du Pochet and a NNW face let go yesterday. Attractive to ski, fatal to do turns on…
Grom complacent about minor slopes so we had a good talk about awareness, and he became a bit more risk-conscious.

@valais2, the problem is with the sun the conditions are changing very fast… should be stabilizing now with Freeze thaw. High north faces still delicate
