Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
I'm looking at a skiing trip for my family in December, 2 adults 2 children (8 and 10). I have never been skiing before and would like to book as a surprise for my husband.
I have had a quote for In pas de la casa, Andorra and Sestriere, Italy
We aren't bothered with night life or luxury accommodation, or restaurants. But would like the area to be family friendly.
I'm struggling to find clear advise on if either of these locations are good for snow and skiing in December.
Can anyone here advice or signpost me to clear impartial information.
Many thanks

,
When in December?
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Andorra/Pas de la Casa is a long transfer from any arrival airport (Toulouse/Barcelona)
Sestriere is a short transfer from Turin.
Depends when in December, but if it's before Christmas week then you really need to check when resorts are going to open - I suspect that most resorts will target either 17th or 24th Dec for full opening. Christmas week is busy. New Year week can be manic. If it's before 17th, then you probably ought to be looking at the higher resorts, possibly those with glaciers. It's also early season, so you're in the lap of the snow gods as to what conditions will be like anywhere.
