Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Barryvox S

Does anybody local to Manchester have a Barryvox S I could borrow?

Long story but... At the SOPiBash we attempted a device to device update to the latest softwear. One unit was successfully done but then doing mine, something went wrong and mine went blank (lost it's firmware?). Lots of attempts to reset/restore/Google hadn't success.

After emailing Mammut, I've now got a procedure which they say will sort it but I need good unit to carry out the upload from. Would only need it for a few minutes.

Is it worth a blast up to Kendal, I'm assuming Anything Tech. are an agent for Mammut.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Google lists a Mammut branded shop in the centre of Manc. They should be able to sort it for you.

The Mammut address in Manchester (Amazon House) is the one I've been talking to. It's their UK office but not a shop.

They've offered to send it away for repair if the update (via new procedure) doesn't work. However I'd rather not bother if I can use the procedure they've sent me (and I'm curious to see if it works).

I'm unlikely to find time to get to a dealers before the EosB where I can probably borrow one if I don't get one before.
