Anybody have any thoughts? I’m carving two clean lines big fast turns super g size all feels great good edge angles I can touch the snow with my hand No slipping BUT my tracks are Ridiculously wide apart. Like a foot or more ! Anybody got any idea what’s going on. Sorry no video

a foot? So less than hip width apart? Might not get you into the Arlbergbuttclenchers's Club but probably completely normal for normal humans.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

thoughts? Crack on, enjoy yourself, sounds about right, if not a touch narrow if only a foot apart!
A foot apart=ridiculas? How close do you think they should be?
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Not sure about American units, but American skiers do tend to have wide stances.
It's more Austrian and similar trained people, plus old folk, who have narrow stances.
If you're carving at such angles that you can touch the snow with your hand the geometry of your legs means that your feet have to be quite far apart, if both legs were bent to the same degree then your outside foot wouldn't touch the snow
Then you can post your own questions or snow reports...

@Davidgdg, No video - no believe! But for what it is worth , in fact at SG speed 1 foot is a bit narrow really. Unless of course you mean SG turns on a green run, then 1cm would be more appropriate.

Nothing other than overthinking it.
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

@philwig, "old folk, who have narrow stances"
Actually, in bumps, you want a narrow stance.
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

@Davidgdg, ...yes...I have thoughts...I wish I could that...

You know it makes sense.

Actually I guess it’s more like two or three feet. Tracks look like they’ve been made by the wheels of a horse and cart. I hope it’s a humble brag but I’m not entirely confident !

It's beautiful, but they're flat, EMPTY pistes. I've never been in that position outside of a race.

I’ve been skiing some of the Aosta valley resorts in late March (places like Champoluc). Some of them have been so quiet it’s actually felt spooky. Almost completely empty pistes With maybe a single skier passing every few minutes.
