Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Black diamond pole strap adjustment

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
This doesn't feel like something I should need to ask on the internet for, but I can't for the life of me work out how to adjust the straps on black diamond expedition pro poles Embarassed . The instructions don't give any info on it as far as I can tell and there generally seems to be very little information around on this particular fixing configuration. Does anyone know how it's done?

Seemed an odd question, so I googled and on the images I saw, they look like fixed length straps. More for use when climbing/skinning and straps off for descents. Only going off limited pictures though

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

They're definitely adjustable. I think this is part of the problem. Black diamond seem to have loads of different variations. Here's a picture of the actual setup I have https://ibb.co/L1TVxtm

There's a plastic cam type thing in there that does move up and down, but trying to push it up or down doesn't seem to release anything. Pulling on the straps in various directions also didn't get me anywhere.

Push the strap in the middle in to the handle to free the cam, then lengthen or shorten as required.

I did find a YouTube video that suggested that, but was struggling to push the strap in. Rather embarrassingly, my friend has just yanked on the top strap and that seems to have done it. I assumed that one was the fixed point so never pulled it that hard
