Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Good morning. Have also posted in the Austria Travel thread in Resort Reviews. Could someone report on EasyJet bag drop queues and security from Innsbruck airport please (I have hold luggage and skis)? Trying to work out how early to arrive. We fly back on Sunday. Thank you.

Morning! We flew back from Innsbruck to Manchester yesterday (Sunday 27th), so hopefully I can help a bit. It was the final weekend of half term too, so next weekend may be even quieter for you.
Our flight was 12.40 and we arrived at the airport around 10.45. We also had to drop off the hire car, so by the time we got to the check-in desks, it was around 11. The queue for our bag drop was nothing terrible, probably took us about 15 minutes. The jet2 queues were much longer! There was a check in agent working her way down the queue, checking passenger locator forms and vaccine QR codes, which sped up the process of dropping bags once we got to the desk. Skis were dropped at the oversized baggage and that took about 2 minutes.
The main security queue looked long but we were re-directed to a second security check area upstairs and we just walked through in a couple of minutes. The longest queue of the day, was to buy a coffee at the cafe in the departure lounge! By the time we had done that our flight was boarding and we took off pretty much on time.
I will say my OH hates being too early for the airport and we probably leave it a bit later than we should. If you like to have a bit more time, a good 2 hours should be perfect. Safe travels and happy holiday!
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Sheffsnow91
, Thanks so much! This is very reassuring especially as you say, for a half term weekend. Fingers crossed we have a similar experience so will stick to 2 hours.
