Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Buddy - Cervinia - 14/03 ~ 19/03

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi,

I’m looking to buddy up someone or a small group for skiing in Cervinia, between 14th and 19th March 2022.

I’m an intermediate level and I have been to Cervinia before. Comfortable on all their red pistes. I’ve also been to a day trip to Zermatt with an instructor and tried some of their easier black pistes, which I could cope but had to slow down considerably.

I haven’t skied for almost two years, and can’t remember the routes down to Zermatt confidently. Therefore, hoping to buddy up with someone.

I’m also taking a couple of half day and full day lessons with an independent ski instructor on 15th and 16th March. Happy to share the lesson if anyone is interested. They are €200 for half day (9am-1pm) and €350 for full day going to Zermatt (9am-4:30pm), with Ski-Unlimited.

Thanks, Wen

I’m actually there the same week, but skiing with partner who’s a nervous beginner so probably won’t be suitable.

Route to Zermatt is reasonably straight forward, you just need to make sure you download on the cable car at Trockener Steg or Schwarzee to avoid the narrow and steepish black down into Furi.

Edy at ski unlimited has a great reputation, I imagine you’ll get the most out of your trip using him.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thank you LDP816. Good to know that Edy is a great instructor. Look forward to my lessons already!

Thanks for the tip on the way down from Schwarzsee. There seem to be a couple of red routes from Schwarzsee to Furi, 51 and 52 I think. Do you by any chance know if they are tricky? Last time I was there, my instructor took me down the black one. I think I’ll leave that when I’m with Edy. But I do wonder if I could try those red pistes myself.

I also wonder what those red pistes down from Gornergrat and Hohtalli are like. Have you ever been to that side?

Thanks, Wen
