Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Early March, Meribel accommodation + transfer wanted

Hi

I have booked a flight to Chambery on 27/2 to visit my son for a fortnight. (He is doing a season at Les Allues nr Meribel.)
I don't have any accommodation sorted out yet, and have just come across this forum when searching for budget accommodation.

If anyone has a room in a chalet or similar nearby for some, or all, of those dates please let me know.
Also, if anyone happens to be flying at the same time to Chambery (flight arrives at noon) and transferring to Meribel and I could share the transfer that would be brilliant. (A long shot I know.)

Alternatively, if anyone has any suggestions for budget accommodation in Les Allus or Meribel, please let me know.

I’m afraid budget and Meribel don’t really go together, plus your dates are still French half term (the first week certainly). Have you looked at the likes of Odalys, LaGrange Holidays, Sunweb ? Failing that, as your son is ‘on the ground’ might he be able to locate anything? You can also try www.chaletsdirect.com on the Solutions Room on the off chance there may be something.
