Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Returning to the UK from Munich - Unvaccinated children

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
This might by one for Munich_Irish (for which I would be very grateful), but any recent experience would be much appreciated. Flying back to the UK with Lufthansa (with 14 and 17 year olds) on Sunday (driving direct from Switzerland). UK requirements state that unvaccinated under 18's do not need a negative test to enter the UK. But, I had an email from Lufthansa this morning stating that anyone over 6 needs a negative test to depart from Germany. Have phoned LH customer services, and have received conflicting advise. The wife has ruptured her ACL with fracture so hoping to avoid any extra organising.

Thanks in advance.

@lemoncake, it seems that Lufthansa are applying the 3G rule which applies to public transport in Germany. This means that anyone over the age of 5 boarding a Lufthansa plane must be either fully vaccinated, recovered or have a recent test. Your kids will need a recent lft test to fly home. There is a free test station at Munich airport which gives rapid certificated results if you cant arrange them in Switzerland. As far as I know this is not a requirement on BA or Easyjet.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks Munich Irish....I had thought that this might be the case with Lufthansa. Many thanks for pointing me towards the testing centre at the airport.
