Hi - have a short trip with mates planned to Austria in March. One more f the group is particularly focussed on social activities so the prospect of no apres-ski is causing concern!!
Personally I’m ambivalent but I wondered if there was anyone out there at the moment who had a handle on what is open and not.
Is it the case that all bars and restaurants are closed?
Cheers
James

Hi@felstead, have you tried doing a search on here? I haven't been reading them, but I've noticed several threads on this topic over the last few weeks.
(To search, go to "Search" at the top of the page and then "Go to advanced search," then type your query in the "Search for keywords" field. In this case, I'd probably try "Austria AND apres" which should give you posts containing "Austria" and "apres.")
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yep there are at least three threads with the answer to this. Restaurants are open, currently only to 10 but until midnight shortly. Table service only, no standing around. Music is very much toned down. No singing & dancing etc. No issue with a bit of jollity, beer & schnapps but no
Bars & Restaurants open until 10pm currently - this will be extended to midnight from Sat (I think) . . .table service based on bookings; however if tables are free you can wander in and sit down . . some ask for covid passes, others don't . . .kick out 'on the dot' is more consistent however you may get lucky and get a lock in if you befriend the right locals. Its pretty much like UK pub culture of old - speed drinking does have its casualties!
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
