Cheers, Rod

Yep, none, provided you upload the forms before travel.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Same, only asked for passports, no other papers; and didn't see an actual French human at Calais, just followed the car in front!

Website failed to validate documents so took paper copies with me. Couple of extra minutes to get them validated at checkin although French border check was quicker than cars in front who had documents saved on phones. On way back same problem with preloading documents but UK borders not really interested. I think the trouble was we had a flexi ticket and travelled at different times to the one booked but as through a third party weren’t able to ammend.

We had exactly the same issue when we travelled a couple of weeks ago, couldnt upload the api despite creating an account, took paper copies but had to go to the reception as the computer didnt recognise our flexi booking, the lady found it after a couple of minutes, customs no problem with the paper copies. Not sure what will happen on our return as we are staying a couple of days extra, two years ago we returned three wks before our flexi booking and it recognised our booking straight away.

On excellent form at the moment , last Thursday arrived put on much earlier train which was going in 30 mins , from checkin to train via both French and UK customs 20 mins ! On return nearly the same experience at Calais . All my paperwork was uploaded and in order .
The fact that they have far fewer trains running and customers is obviously making things much easier it will be interesting to see what is like in a couple of weeks time .

Friday last week, passport at UK post, passport (stamped) and proof of vaccination at French. All documents previously uploaded. As mentioned above, quicker to hand over paper copies than have phones scanned one-by-one. Hope return tomorrow runs as smoothly.

Yesterday (29.1.22) did local LFT clinic: negative, with certificate in email before we got home. Uploaded Déclarations and Covid Vaccine certificates OK. Antigen LFT Certs uploaded, but Referred for Inspection. Info on website says don’t contact them and arrive earlier than planned to have the LFT Cert ‘processed’ in terminal.
Today (30.1.22) 08:30 only about 5 cars at Checkin. All gates automated - got a ticket no probs and no mention of LFT check got a train 1/2hr earlier. The Approval email got generated same time we checked in. So didn’t need the extra arrival time after all. Counted 6 people in terminal.
French Immigration stamped passports and asked if we were vaxxed, but didn’t ask for docs.
No probs with crossing and being a Sunday, autoroute traffic light plus no lorries. Doofer worked fine.
Note: 4 of the petrol stations around the Sommesous section were shut. So check the overhead gantry info signs - they tell you how far to the next petrol stations before the last one ahead of the gap.
NHS QR code scanned fine at our overnight hotel Checkin. Tomorrow, Switzerland ….
