Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just turned 12 year olds in French lift queues

Hi,

I was hoping someone could give me some advice about something that I haven't seen asked before on here.

All being well we're off to Morzine in a couple of weeks. My eldest turns 12 between now and then, so will be below the 12 years 2 months age limit for the health / vaccine passes. However she's already 5 foot 8 and could easily look like a teenager when she's in her ski gear.

Am I right in thinking that she shouldn't need any sort of QR code to get on the lifts? And if so, does anyone have any advice on the easiest way for her to get by if she gets challenged because she doesn't have a QR code but looks like she should have one?

She'll be with us most but not all of the time (e.g. lessons) and doesn't know enough French to have a conversation about this. And I don't really want to her to be travelling round with her passport as she'll probably end up losing it!

Any good suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I think for lessons the ESF look at the pass sanitaire and it's not controlled another time on the piste. Verify with the specific skischool. It works like that in la Plagne

We are in the same boat. We are due to travel out next weekend, the day my daughter turns 12. She is one of the tallest in her year. I will take a photo of her passport to show if questioned. I will let you know how we get on.

I’d photo her passport and possibly laminate to keep in her pocket so it doesn’t get wet and crumpled during the week
