Hi SHs, I know many reside in Innsbruck and the surrounding area so I thought I would call on your worldly wiseness.
While passing through I will be staying in central Innsbruck for one afternoon / night (a Monday) and would really welcome any recommendations of bars to visit.
Also could anyone suggest a good sports shop / ski shop that I could salivate over? – Thanks heaps ‘n’ loads!

Lichtblick is a nice rooftop bar. Great views to Nordkette and almost a apres feeling when hanging out there.
Enjoy you trip. Innsbrück is beautiful.

Came on here to say #5 and #8 in that list above as my goto places for beer and food. Excellent service in #5 and they can assist with a drinking list too and the best order to try them, if you're in to the craft beer scene. And if you're lucky, the guy on the next bar stool is the head brewer.
But I'll bookmark the thread just in case I ever get to be there for a weekend again. Might have to skip the overnight stopovers en route to the BB this year.

It's a great city for a wander, a meal and a few scoops.
If you like steak, Woodfire do excellent aged beef. Fair price for what it is. Tastiest ribeye I think I've ever had, class act in every respect.
Great cocktail places like those mentioned above. If you smoke, unless something has changed recently or with the virus there are still a few smoking bars around. I take the odd cigar but even if not smoking, I quite enjoy going into them for the nostalgia.
