Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Readers Skis

Stealing an idea shamelessly from a magazine, I've started a "Readers Skis" thread!

spyderjon will recognise his old Volkl 5*s - I've skied on them for two weeks and I have to say they're great! After using punter style rental skis these are a huge improvement. They felt a bit skittish to start with, and they accelerate pretty quickly, but once you've got used to them they are fantastically pointable. Mrs H bought her K2 Burnin' Luvs in the end of season sale in Val Thorens - they are currently unskied, but well fondled, she bought them after a day on a rental pair. Seem very similar to the Volkl 5*s.

Who else wants to introduce their skis?

Ian Hopkinson,

Mine are in Ski Casualty Sad after we shared a wild day of passion on Aonach Mor that got a bit out of hand...

but here they are in happier times up on the L2A glacier ...

Heartless git that I am, I think they'll be relegated to rock ski status next year which means I'll be out shamelessly cruising the ski shops looking for something flashy but cheap that'll do absolutely anything Shocked

Here are my current weapons of choice, Rossi 9X Pro Race Carvers with FKS Racer RS bindings and Rossi Power Plates. I got 2 pairs of them in a sale from Bartletts when I was working at Wycombe Summit. First pair have recently given up the ghost but these ones are ready for the new season or for a few trips to Castleford.
