Hi does anybody have any experience e of saying at the Hotel Stambecco in Cervinia? It's at Plan Maison and I am considering it but not sure. It looks very nice and it's HB basis, there seems to be quite a bit to do in the evenings.....

@Gaz_H, Have you been to Cervinia before?
Just asking as being at Plan Maison means you're high up above the town itself so limited options other that what the hotel provides

I've visited Cervinia a few times. I'm not sure if I'd want to be stuck up there of an evening.

Did you go to the stambecco in the end Gaz? If so how was it?

I’ve stayed there in summer, friends of friends run it
Only spent 2 nights but was great, rooms have been renovated recently, there are games rooms, and the bar / restaurant across the road. Huge portions of food as typical of Italy, decent breakfast buffet etc, and you’re on first lifts out the door.

It looks like there's a bar or two up there... we're both late 40's so not particularly looking for party central. One thing I wonder about is lift logistics on the first/last day and how easy it will be to get a snowmobile lift for e10 if we need to transfer to the airport before 8am etc.
