Unexpectedly having my gallbladder out on 08/02/22, have trips booked for March & April, anyone with experience of the recovery time, skiing wise? As in I’d like to go late Feb if I feel ok.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I'd maybe give it 2 weeks but whatever, the recovery time is not great.
Do however take care afterwards with fatty foods, particularly in the morning. The results may be urgent and, ahem, explosive!!

That’s great thanks. Mine will be same day keyhole. And I’ve heard about the straight thru exhaust effect! Don’t care as long as I never experience that pain again.

I had mine out keyhole on a Tuesday, drove from Sussex to Southport on the Friday and spent the weekend on the lash at a house music weekender.
Not having the pain rushes will make you feel a million dollars - I was 41 when I had mine out

@Stevo55, my Mam had particular difficulties with eggs after her op. Seems to have resolved itself now though.

Great, these replies are what I need! Going to celebrate having the thing out by going skiing. Probably Madisimo, got a hotel deposit waiting there.
