 Poster: A snowHead

Hopefully this is an ok question to ask as I know it can open the door to advertising... but, we're potentially self organising a trip for the first time, and part of that will be the transfer - 4 of us plus luggage, looks like in the region of €450 return from a couple of random Google quotes... but are there any recommendations of good companies for transfers (or ones to avoid)?
Hopefully I can cope with the flight and hotel bookings without any handholding

Train or post bus (public transport) when I researched it - bus is just as quick train if the timings work, as it departs from the airport.

Public bus from the airport to the station (is 2.70 euros from memory).
Train from Salzburg station to Zell am See (34 euros and takes 1.5 hours).

Yeah..... I should probably have said up front that Mrs RC and my cherubs are not going to go for bus/tram/train options. They might be cheap, but divorce certainly isn't

the train and bus connections to zell and or saalbach which is what we have used if flying are both inexpensive and just as importantly reliable .Ideally works better for a earlier flight in i.e pre noon and a flight out after but still doable .Timetable is available from the austrian railway site.

On the Saalbach thread, I think that austria-taxi.at was looking like a good bet at 353 return. If definitely be sticking them on the postbus though!

I confess that as a single skier I am very happy to use public transport and always happy to go by train BUT buses and coaches hugely less so. After all, trains have bars, cafes etc and probably better loos

I can't really criticise... I don't want to fly long haul economy either, we all have our red lines...
