Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mont-Blanc Unlimited day trip to Courmayeur

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
The MBU lift pass includes a day or two across the border in Courmayeur. Italy require a clean PCR test last time I looked.

Does anyone know how that's working out for Chamonix day-trippers?

We're going to be in Chamonix next week and wondering whether there's any benefit in the MBU pass rather than the Chamonix pass.

@jrussell88, we’re just back from 2 weeks in Chamonix. Had MBU pass. Heard of UK folk nipping through the tunnel with no issues but AFAIK only those who are local residents or with access to locally registered cars. We didn’t have the nerve to drive through with UK plates, in case of issues on return. I reckon the bus would be a good option as you’re less likely to be spotted, but it didn’t work for us.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks, that's rather what I suspected.

Be good to hear if anyone else has recent experience.

Is there still a free bus from the station for day trippers?

Hasn't been free in many years.

But still a bus timed for day trippers? Don’t mind paying but don’t want to drive

You can go through to Courmayeur for the day without needing to present a -ve test in a private vehicle. There is an exemption in the rules which says that if your stay in Italy is less than 36 hours there is no requirement to show a test.

You are required to file an online EUPLF before going through the tunnel.
