Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Wind in my goggles, bad fit or bad design?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hello
I have Giro Article goggles which are pretty nice goggles for sun protection and vision when skiing, though last time there was a bit of wind while on the ski lift, and the wind got inside my goggles, it made my eyes very dry and red
I want to know if this is due because of a bad fit or this particular model is known to have bad wind protection?
The thing is that I have a relatively large forehead that's why I picked this medium to large model so the foam isn't too close to my eyes, but I have I think a small nose, I can slide a finger under the foam if I gently press right next to my nose so it's not 100% hermetic
I tried the Anon M2 and Alpina Big Horn yesterday in a shop, same result, the foam is perfect everywhere but near my nose
So what do you think?

My guess, is the Goggles are not quite the right fit for you.

You could try models from Oakley and Smith and possibly Bolle and Scott...just to compare the fit.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Can you tell where the wind is getting in?
If it is your nose maybe low-bridge/Asian fit might be better. I think both Oakley and Smith's do them.

@adithorp, Smith's (I think) also do a sort of adjustable nose thing.

Certainly try some Asian fit ones. I don’t know if that term is an Oakley trademark or can be used for others too. My Asian wife got some and is much happier.

Oakley discontinued the Asian fit line last year but they modified the global fit models to accommodate the Asian facial type better. You might find older stock somewhere.

Oakley also do many of their models in a youth fit , which may amount to the same thing as the Asian fit.
