Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all,
I'm organising a trip for 11 people to Italy and we're off on 9th Jan.
I was wondering if anyone had done any research/have experience with travel insurance providers in light of the situation we all find ourselves in. I've always had travel insurance through my employer and their covid rules feel reasonable.
However, most of the other people I'm going with will need to purchase new travel insurance. Can anyone recommend any products/providers please? Looking for products that have reasonable and clear rules when things are disrupted by last minute Covid changes. Appreciate the perfect policy may not exist but after something that's nearly perfect
Thanks in advance

I am also trying to sort my insurance for a bash to Italy which is a bit of a nightmare. I am afraid that I am unable to provide an answer but may I hijack your post to ask an insurance question?
I am mostly concerned about the costs occurring in the event of catching covid whilst away and having to extend a trip to quarantine especially as the new variant seems so infectious. I could do with cover for this that would run alongside of a general travel policy. Is anyone aware if such a policy exists?
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@TurdyMcFlude
, that's covered in my insurance:

The underwriter appears to be AXA so I imagine other policies underwritten by them will have similar cover.

@James1990
, There is a whole thread on Insurance here --

Seven pages, but you might be able to glean something from it...
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks. There is light at the end of the tunnel as well because I have just noticed that LV seem to cover it as well.

Which? looked at travel insurance in light of covid. Only 5 insurers covered all the bases. One was Nationwide and another Barcleys, linked to current accounts. Worth looking up the article.
