as i age, it seems like i'm spending more time putting on my downhill boots. it's a workout in itself! i look for easy to put on boots, and i'm seeing Rossignol Alltrack, K2 B.F.C., Dalbello Panterra, and Rossignol Track, which are really EXPEnSIVE, so, i'm looking for used choices/suggestions i can ebay.

Buy cheap buy twice....
Nordica HF...Hands Free
Updated rear entry boot built with your issues in mind, suitable for a wider foot though so seek out a local professional bootfitter, let them know your needs and be guided by them...

Full Tilt.
Friend skied the Big Feckin Comfy boots from K2 and declared them the comfiest boots she'd ever tried.

@berbes, yep, Nordica Hf or similar. The Nordicas are very well thought of by my bootfitting friends. And a mate has them and loves them.

Be careful with all boot manufacturers - they each tend to cater for specific feet shapes (and that can change every few years) - which is why many people on here recommend going to a specialist boot fitter to ensure that their boots fit well.
I currently find it far easier to put on my inner boot and then put foot & inner boot into the shell together - but I am not going to recommend a specific boot because they are so individual to your foot shape (e.g. width, instep height, calf size).
The 30 pages of boot fitting recommendations at the top of this equipment reviews section is a good place to start looking if you want to buy multiple pairs of second hand boots and see if they fit - but unless you buy boots which are far too big and therefore will be terrible to ski in, it’s sadly going to be a complete lottery finding something which is comfortable to ski in unless you get them properly fitted.
