Ok I'm new at this, going for a season in whistler, been told i need cancelation insurance? incase i break my leg and can't go etc.
Do i need health insurance of somesort being in Canada? What about ski-insurance?
Somebody advise/hlpe me please?

OK Ben133, yes you need insurance, not sure what's best for you if you're doing a season. I would guess the best people to advise woud be veeeight and paulhothersall as they both spend seasons in Whistler (IIRC).

I've heard good things about it, though don't have it myself so can't speak from personal experience. However, I can tell you that you need to be covered for all kinds of health care and being carted off the mountain if required. Cancellation insurance would probably be a good idea, and you might want to insure your belongings as well.

BMC is the gold standard IIRC & you can pay to extend cover for extended stays but not cheap. Gap year / backpacker policies can be a minefield to wade through for skiing activities.
