Looking to take some private lessons / time on the slope in October with the kids. Are there any discount codes around for the snow centre at Hemel?

@Elsie80, The new look snow show is happening in October in Birmingham and Hemel normally chum the waters with free passes there, and there are loads of free passes to the show around at the moment, so if that works for you, that could be a thing.

@Richard_Sideways, @Elsie80, You can go yourself to the show and get those on offer (but don’t buy a ticket to the show, get a free ticket code, there are still a few about). Or you not go and instead see who cant use theirs, I ended up giving away my Hemel vouchers to a SH last time there was a ski show.
But I see from the site that the Snow Dome in Tamworth is a sponsor and exhibitioner (no mention of Hemel) so any dome vouchers on offer at the show might be from Tamworth this year?

@Elsie80, this discount code may work for you, 21LP10 for 20% off.
they have just worked for me for a couple of 3 hour lift passes.

Reminder that Snowheads get 55% discount on Mount Hemel annual membership. Which in turn gets you 30% discount on lessons and passes and 10% of food and drinks.

@anarchicsaltire, it would be really handy if that was extended to the Chillfactore, now that Hemel own it.

See no reason why that won't happen though admin may have to have a word with Ian to get agreement and update their system. A group of Hemel members, several of whom are snowheads are going up to Chill factor on Thursday using their Hemel monthly passes.

Think you may have to subscribe/donate to snowheads. I just flashed my SuperSnowhead card when renewing my membership today.

Hi
First post
I used to be a member at Hemel but haven't been for a while due to an achilles problem. I did my membership through the now defunct action sports club. I saw this thread and rang Hemel at the start of August re the process of the snowheads discount. The woman I spoke to was unaware of snowheads. Can anyone offer any clarity on this.
Richard

Hi - I have used the discount for the past 2 years. You need to be a super snowhead for the membership discount. You also may need to get the staff member to check as they don't always know about it. I primarily use my membership for the off season monthly passes. As an additional bonus when I have held each monthly pass the centre has also emailed me a loyalty discount for peak season.
Summer months I normally just head in and sort slope time. Winter normally means advance notice to be certain of a slot.

Actually after posting this I noticed my membership expired last week. So I just renewed over the phone - so yes the discount is still very much valid

I did get a Total SnowHead ID card when I did a ski test at Hemel. I haven't used ID the last 2 times I renewed as I have been a member for some time and they have all my details on record. If you have any issues re verification you should PM admin

Hi Everyone, I'm a newbie here and wondered if the potential discount from the snowheads membership is worth it if i'm thinking of getting a yearly pass with Snowcentre for the Manchester.
I've been skiing in my younger years and am now looking at planning to get a membership for myself and my daughter who is 5 so I can make the most of being so close to the Manchester Snow centre.
Also are there any meetups at Snow centre Manchester?
Thanks in advance
Andy

Can confirm successful use of discount today - I emailed them to give them time to find someone who knew about it, then called to pay.

Mrs ST has some new boots and wants to give them and the fitting a quick test at Hemel.
Does anyone know what bindings the Hemel rental skis have? Are they GripWalk compatible? Her new boots have GripWalk soles.

@abricotine, thanks. We tried ringing them but didn't really get a conclusive answer. As it's to test the new boots, it would be a pointless trip if the skis were not GripWalk compatible

I suspect a disconnect between those on the rental counter and those on the phones..? I’ve certainly skied in grip walk boots and in the snow & rock they’ll give you a slope pass to try your new boots if they are fitting them sometimes.

@abricotine, I suspect you are right and that was my feeling. She did ask to speak to a ski tech there but there weren't any in, apparently.
I figured that as most new skis/bindings over the past few years are GW compatible, they must have something available but just wanted to check before booking. Was pretty sure someone here would know.
Profeet did the fitting as her previous boots came from there. She doesn't have the easiest feet to fit and so an initial test at Hemel isn't a bad thing. She picked up a 'free' slope pass from the ski show with a small donation to SnowCamp.

@sno trax, sounds sensible but yes I’m sure she’ll be fine (can’t speak for the skis though, they are not great of course!) hope the test goes well.
