Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Breathable back protector

My daughter was doing a freestyle class yesterday and was finding her admittedly cheapy Decathlon back protector, far too hot.

Are there any which are more breathable if she decides to carry on with freestyle over the summer?

Laughing she had it on a t-shirt. No jacket involved- thankfully it was starting to cool done by 7pm yesterday but we were talking mid 20’s temperatures.

Also been looking for one for the O/H, found this one on absolute snow, thinking about it at the moment. It has the breathable material and is also washable which is what she is after..

Ah so it was outside on a dryslope not in a fridge. The issue was exercise on a very hot day rather than the back protector per se.

Yes - but was making it worse as that one certainly isn’t at all breathable in any way. Could well be they are all no good for that use case, but she was desperate to ditch it. Hence wondering if there are any on the market that are better (and worth paying extra for) versus the cheapy one we have

Unsure if it warrants this level of protection and cost, but a very competent and well regarded manufacturer

Probably similar levels of temperature and body activity in mtb and may be of interest to you.

@ski3, are that’s a thought. May be worth looking at the mountain biking stuff for summer skiing

@NickyJ, the Cairn D3O ones that my kids use are about as "breathable" as I've seen, in that they have some ventilation holes in the foam; we use them for dryslope racing. However, they still aren't that breathable, they end a session pretty sweaty.
