An amazing winter just keeps on going. Snow still regularly falling to around 1600m in the Western Alps. Wondered if anyone is getting out there touring?? Farmers must be getting hacked off as pastures not yet available for cows!!

Mrs B and I skitoured at Glencoe today and it was excellent. A bit slushy and heavy but, nevertheless, great skiing for May.

Various glaciers in Austria have 370 cm to 410 cm of snow base and more snow falls on a daily basis.
