Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

enjoy and take lots of pics!
I'd recommend something to change into when you get to the huts - clean base layer, pants and socks. Also, wet wipes

What about a solar powered Bluetooth speaker so that you can listen to some bangin' French language Drill toons on the way up.

I assume that all the tourers are so equipped these days...well based on a sample of one group I came across last year anyway.

Ski crampons coming. No space for boot crampons and looks like it’s going to snow most days so shouldn’t be icy

I like ´em. Get a nice close shin contact, especially with the Sidas liners. Wedge at the back in there too to keep in a nice forward position.

I got some intuition tour wraps for mine which feel amaaaaaazing - on the carpet. Not had much chance around Fulham this year . Good luck . If you have a guide and he/she suggests the nachamuli hut as an option for the last night, ask him to make sure he knows it’s open - we discovered it shut and had a choice between the very bare emergency room and an extra 90 minutes at 4pm up to the unmanned Refuge de Boquetins to share a packet of Knorr chicken noodle soup!

Cant wait to see your pics !

Alas all the bivvy’s are shut due to COVID restrictions. Huts operating at half capacity. To be honest the weather forecast isn’t good but it’s impossible to get new hut availability so we’re going to give it a go anyway...

Verbier shreds are a nice touch.

Probably too late now as you will be on your way, but .......

Slippers for the hut (with a waterproof sole) so they don't get soggy - Ikea do some good uns. Some people wear their boot liners.
body wipes (as mentioned by Arno ) - for the times that there is no more hot water, a mile long queue for the showers or you can't be @rsed having a proper shower.
Multi-USB plug (somebody else will most likely get to the plug first but if you have a multi-plug then you can share the power).

Haha alas I fear I’ll be the target of that prank...

FATMAP explore subscription with the Swisstopo overlay and offline download for the mobile dead spots, seems a pretty cool navigation upgrade since the last time we did something like this.

Alas Garmin InReach mini didn’t arrive in time...

Well clearly loads of snow there. Some of us are heading up North for the last of the Scottish snow for next week (see Scottish Snow thread under Snow conditions). The access lifts from the car parks at Glencoe and Nevis (Aonach More) are running, which reduces the walk to the snow line considerably. Still some snow at Cairngorm too but no lifts. See current Glencoe snow here (and others) http://www.winterhighland.info/cams/glencoe/
