Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I know it's a bit early, but I get twitchy if I don't have definite skiing in the pipeline.

Probably going to do Austria for Christmas again - but not sure whether to return to Saalbach or Kitzbuhel or try somewhere new.

Will almost certainly be doing 3V as usual for February half-term.

Feel the need to get booking stuff. And don't say hang on and see where the snow is. I'm stuck with school holiday dates and no options when I travel.

Anyone else twitchy...?

If you're stuck with high season, booking early is best bet for a bargain - TOs try to spread out their cash flow by offering early-booker discounts etc.

Well our trip for 44 to La Rosiere had a hiccup, and when we came to put deposits down someone else had booked the chalet. Its back to Reberty (above Les Menuires) on 1st April 2007 for 18 of us. Deposit paid. Silver Ski have now sold every one of the 54 beds in their 3 Reberty Chalets for that week.

johnboy, I wonder if our paths will cross this time? I am thinking of Saalbach too, not sure when, as that will depend on whether we do a Christmas/NY hol with the kids or not. Would you like me to warn you when/if I book for Saalbach, so you know which week to avoid? Toofy Grin

I'm going to Soldeu (Andorra) with my group next year. And I'm still not sure why. Every year we go to France - big resorts such as 3 Valleys, Les Arcs, Alpe d'huez etc, something for everyone. But as there's 28 of us the organisers have to book early and pay top prices to tour operators. Now it started to niggle with many people as they could "do their own thing" or make a last minute booking for half the price. So now, to make it cheaper, they booked Andorra. Now I know some people love it. But, long transfers, no ski in/ski out, hotel with "buffet" dinner (chips and salmonella) is not my dream holiday. I did, in fact, almost refuse to go but got talked into it. Please, someone, give me some enthusiasm ....

Am trying to drum up a crowd for a March trip to 3V - why is it always so difficult to get people to think ahead! So far I have five of us, but I need at least another 1 or 2 couples to get the chalet I want.

If I can persuede my wife I might see if I can book a last minute deal somewhere completely different in December,
