Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Easter 2022. Val Thorens or Tignes?

 Poster: A snowHead

I already have a ski holiday booked (v cheap Passo Tonale Air B and B with EJ flights) at half term but have also got some Sunweb vouchers to use. The ski holidays have kind of stacked up due to COVID.
As I teach, the only other time I can go is Easter (NY too expensive and busy!).
The prices are really good for 16th April but obviously limited choice that late on.
It is me and my two teenage children and although I’ve skied lots, it will be their third ski holiday. Can anyone say whether VT or Tignes would be the best option. We will be driving as we have a Eurotunnel voucher to use too! Those two resorts look the most suitable but if anyone can suggest any other very snowsure resorts I’d be open to it.
Ha ha I’ve never been so organised or so eager to get things booked!!!

NBrenn74,

Flip a coin. Either would be a great choice for Easter. Then try the other one next time. wink

We've skied both places a lot at Easter (and into May) and have always had great snow. I'm sure you won't be disappointed either way.

Have done both-mostly VT-over Easter holidays (also a teacher) for many years. Mostly VT which I thought was better overall. A more concentrated ski area (higher ratio of skiing to lift times), awesome lift system, loads of blues and reds for week 3s. But can get busy with young skiers hooning around and there are some intersections where you need to be careful.
If you want lessons, Skicool (groups) and Girlschool (private lessons, the instructors are both female, not the clients!) were both excellent.

The EOSB looks brilliant and if I didn’t have the vouchers to use, I would really consider! As a single parent (with no other friends who ski - but I love it), it would be a good way to meet some like minded people, have a drink and a laugh.
Thanks for the recommendations of ski schools- will check them out.

I am definitely leaning towards VT!

@NBrenn74, there will be the option to say you will be in the area so you can hook up with folk on the bash to ski and socialise
