@abc, there is a certain category of left wing intellectual who see pedophilia and incest as an expression of freedom. From Frederic Mitterand, to Daniel Cohen Bendit and currently Olivier Duhamel. Then there are their fellow travelers, who know about what is going on but do nothing to stop it out of fear of the repercussions for their own careers or of upsetting powerful people. It is a tangled web. In the UK there was a similar viewpoint, PIE for example, was supported by Labour politicians Harriet Harman, Jack Dromey and Patricia Hewitt back in the 1970s. Other times, other manners perhaps.
Olivier Duhamel (a king maker at the elite Science Po Paris university and former socialist party MEP) was abusing his step son Victor Kouchner, the actual son of Bernard Kouchner (former foreign affairs minister of France) and Évelyne Pisier (Kouchner's ex wife). Pisier told her sister, Marie-France Pisier who was outraged that her sister was covering up for Duhamel. Marie-France Pisier told her close friend Élisabeth Guigou (ex Minister and MEP) - Gigou was once touted to be a Presidential candidate for the socialist party. She was head of the Quango dealing with Incest (Commission indépendante sur l'inceste et les violences sexuelles faites aux enfants) but when informed of an incestuous affair by Pisier did nothing, she covered it up. Shortly afterwards Marie-France Pisier was found dead at the bottom of her swimming pool. No water was found in her lungs and the police have never ruled out murder. While investigating the death they came across the Duhamel affair but no action was taken.
The affair has just cost Gigou cost her her cushy job. Who else knew? Frédéric Mion, director of Science Po Paris - he dined with ex minister and left wing feminist Aurélie Filippetti and François Hollande (ex Socialist President of France) in 2018 where he told them what had been going on with Duhamel. The day after the Duhamel affair broke in 2021 he called Filippetti and told her "no one must know that we knew about this". Mion also spoke to Marc Guillaume, ex secretary of State and current Prefect of Paris. Guillaume claims that Mion wasn't specific enough in his accusations to take any action. Marc Guillaume was also on the board of Science Po with Duhamel. Mion contacted Jean Veil, son of the celebrated Simone Veil and Duhamel's lawyer "nothing in this story, complete rubbish" Veil told him. So Mion dropped any further action without verifying any further. Duhamel was also at Macron's victory celebrations.
So we have an affair of incest against a minor which was known about by the person heading the Quango supposed to combat this kind of abuse as well as 1 ex President, The (now ex) head of Science Po. Two ministers, the Prefect of Paris, the son of Simone Veil and touches the current French President (difficult to imagine he hadn't heard of it). All on the left of French politics.
Sports abuse is small potatoes... the fish rots from the head down.
