@Mike Pow, Here's hoping we can hook up and ski a few of the Welsh hills
In past years I've usually managed some turns on the Shropshire Hills but the last couple of years have been thin. Fingers crossed for a snowy winter....

It’s a rum old year, where I’m starting wonder if even this will be achievable?
It’s certainly on the cards for myself and the young’un, if they lift local lockdown...
Will be following avidly for tips on how and where to start?

Love it to happen, not a great time for funding though. Would be there every week of the year if it happened

Last seasons Scott superguide 95 will be this seasons Welsh rock ski!
No way I’m going to use DPS carbon alchemist unless there is a bloody good base!
And I promise a visit to a Brecons if the conditions are good.

Crazy October cold possible for 2 weeks time.. could be a very early start if there's some Atlantic moisture mixed in! That's December 2010 level northern blocking! Temps 8-12 degrees below average.

Ah yes, those two very minor hurdles when it comes to an indoor ski slope! I wish I had a fiver for every plan that bit the dust at this stage!

Zip World on the site of the former Tower Colliery in Hirwaun, RCT is scheduled to open in March/April 2021.
Combined with Bike Park Wales in Merthyr and the Brecon Beacons National Park this could be the impetus to get the go ahead for the rest of the Merthyr leisure complex

Glares at videos;
Grumble Grumble Grumble...
Fairly sure I am too far away to go skiing in wales (or Northern England) (need to allow 3 hours+ each way to drive; by the time I know the conditions are skiable would probably need to be 2/3 of the way there Given how close Heathrow is relative to me I can probably reach the alps quicker...)
