Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Crans Montana - Aminona lift

Hi all,

Trying to establish whether there is a lift from Aminona up to Petit Mont Bonvin or not? It's on some maps (including google maps) but doesn't appear on others...

We are considering it for our next trip as we have found a lovely chalet there but won't go for it if a bus is required every morning.

I think there used to be one but got taken out. We were there at Xmas and I recall thinking if we did ski down there we needed to take the bus back to civilisation. But we never did ski all the way down there.

It was decommisioned about six years ago, but something might be happening.. although Covid could have paused it.

Thanks for the replies. We will discard that option then! Trying to limit bus/gondola rides as much as possible for the next trip.
