Am hearing conflicting stories about chaos and overcrowding at GVA airport. Could anyone passing through departures let me know what it’s like? I am scheduled in the 21:40 BA to Gatwick and does t really want to wait around in close quarters too long. Thx

Currently transiting through. Dead quiet. Straight through security. Much less busy than you would usually expect.

Even yesterday with a massive easyJet snaking queue, we were though in 30 mins. Security was dead quick.

Arrivals was deserted apart from a few lost souls still arriving with ski kit! Even my booked transfer passengers just failed to turn up without even letting us know.

Flew out of GVA this morning at 1020. Straight to Easyjet bag drop (for Edinburgh) and through security in minutes.

Literally walked through security without having to stop once. Never been through it this quick.
Departure area fairly quiet. I'd say less busy than usual.

@Frosty the Snowman, and yet oddly there are a lot of reports on FB of people having to be bussed home from ski resorts due to lack of flights home.

I am now in GVA waiting for my flight. Drive from Chatel along the swiss motorway was a breeze and roads quite empty - saw more cars on the P51 car rental car park which was rammed. Security was easy but the departure waiting areas and BA lounge was very busy.
