Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Travelling around PDS area

We're heading to Chapelle d'abondance thanks to a friend but it's an area I've not done. We've not hired a car (transfer sorted) because I'm looking for low stress etc. A car isn't that!
I'd like a chance to go to Les Gets for the day. Is there anyway to do this via public transport other than taxi?

@Saphhome, short answer - no.
Longer answer - possible if you get several buses and go via Thonon. Whether it leaves you any time in Les Gets before you have to come back is another matter.

 Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Saphhome, Your best daily option is to bus to Chatel village and from there either ski Super Chatel or transfer to a regular shuttle bus to Linga or Pre La Joux. You can also access PDS locally using the Panthiaz gondola which crossed the main road just out of the village.

You can ski to Les Gets from PLJ via Morzine but you need to make an early start and be quite fast in order to make the most of Les Gets. Try posting on the PDS thread and you will get advise on best ski routes to LG etc.

@Ozboy, they don’t want to ski as I read it but use public transport. @Saphhome, which one is it?

@Nadenoodlee, as far as I know they would need to organise taxi or chart to a transfer company unless bus down the valley as you mentioned.
