We are off to Mayrhofen in March and some of the group will need to hire equipment. Any recommendations for hire shops, discounts etc. Location wise we are staying above Cafe Kostner in Hauptstrasse.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I used Green room also a few weeks ago. The online deal I got was as competitive as anything else and skis were great.
It is pretty near to where you are stopping , albeit the shop at the Penken gondola is your most convenient.

@tarrantd, might be worth booking lockers at the Penken Tal station so you don’t have to walk anywhere with your kit. You can book the lockers on the Brundl sports website.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Last year we used Ian Kilgour / Rent For Fun - just across the road from the Penkenbahn and reasonable price for using their depot service from memory

Definitely a good idea to rent the lockers.
There were some at the top and bottom of the gondola station.
Toasty boots and no lugging them back down every night!
