Sorry I am not tempted by the b-squad myself. Not even in the same league as those skiers. doubt I ever will be unless its like 20 years down the line.

"Rossignol's Limited Edition B Squad is the ultimate off piste tool. Only available in 191 cm and weighing in at 4.90 kg, the Squad is designed for strong expert skiers wanting the nec-plus-ultra for skiing fast and furious however steep and deep it becomes. The Squad has a moderate 25 m radius making it faster turning than many other all-out mountain skis.
Built in Rossignol's race workshop, the B Squad has vertical sidewalls and a very slightly upraised straight-cut tail. "
From telemark-pyrenees.
ONLY 191. Those things are like a couple of tankers under your feet. 599 inc vat and salomon s914 Fi20

Fondled a B-Squad with a REVERSE SIDECUT today. Apparently it belongs to Hugo Harrison (who was inside the shop signing autographs)

spyderjon, yes - I don't think that they were a production model
Didn't look too closely at the camber. Think they were pretty flat

Arno, awesome, similar shape to the Pontoons judging from photos I've seen. How stiff was it?

parlor, the one that was out was delamming/pretty much completely trashed (someone said something about it being the one Hugo Harrison was on when he injured himself) so flexing would have been a bit meaningless. Not seen a pontoon but I understand that they taper more than reverse sidecut - this Squad definitely bulged in the middle

Just got this back from Telemark-pyrenees>
Many thanks for your message. The B-Squads are brand new skis. We mounted the
bindings for a customer who then didn't complete the purchase. Obviously we would
rather sell them as they are than start taking off the bindings and redrilling,
hence the Cinderella deal (if the binding fits...).
Thanks again for your enquiry. I hope this helps, please advise!
All best wishes,

spyderjon, 173cm or 183?
I like HDPE for things like that: doesn't get fragile in the cold, doesn't absorb water. I don't know that I'd worry about the delta so much on this ski, though, as just plain edging prowess.
Is there any way you can mock up about 12-15 mm lift on this ski and just try edging on carpet? To my mind, the 15mm Tyrolia carve plate is just right for this ski, unless it's sole purpose in life is the trees off Gad2.
Not tried home hotboxing yet, but why infrared when you can get constant-wattage heat cables?

Back to the B Squad, it seems to be a hell of a ski. I use a DP Pro in 201 and love it for almost everything except really tight spots, and am on my second pair and about to buy a third in a slightly smaller 193 cm. The Rossi is even less forgiving and exceptionally un-versatile. The tail is so stiff that it will keep accelerating out of the turn and will not allow for any compromise in uneven terrain. Leaving the off-piste via bumps is purgatory on the DPs, on the Rossi it will be a case of point down and hang on...
I want a pair!! Shame my boot length is too long!
