Hi all, new snow head member needing some advice please.
We are hoping to go on our second family ski holiday this Easter. My husband will be working in Basel so will be training from there.
We have two children, one whom we can ski blue runs in the afternoon but our 5 year old definitely still not ready for skiing on piste yet.
Last year we went to Puy St Vincent with snowbizz and loved the childcare, and pick ups from ski school, allowing us more skiing. Both kids loved the evening entertainment too.
Does such a set up exist in Switzerland? Or can anyone recommend somewhere accessible from Basel that provides childcare without braking the bank? Hoping by the end of the week we can ski a bit all together but only skiing 9-12 a little frustrating!
Any advice/recommendations much appreciated.
So far have looked into Andelboden, Engelbrrg, saas fee and zermatt.

@Rustyskiier, you might want to look at Serfaus in Austria. Very family friendly. Easy enough to access by train, change in Zürich for train to Landeck. Should be a good deal cheaper than Switzerland.

If looking near Zermatt, I'd include the 4V areas and more particularly Nendaz / Siviez as having decent sized child teaching, nursery facilities. I've no direct experience of childcare there but Nendaz has extensive child teaching area at the top of its principal lift along with obvious arrangements to look after families.
Siviez also has snow garden, early years teaching etc located more centrally ( geographically) for that sector of 4V ski domain and allow skiing / connecting to be more easily accomplished.
Both the above would generally be more cost effective than Zermatt, but with very extensive ski area for the adults.

In terms of Zermatt, if you book with the ESS (called Zermatters in this case) they meet every morning by the train station and take a special train up the Gornagrat area to an area with magic carpets so it is safe for kids to learn. Seeing the little ones all marching off to the train station holding a rope is super cute too.
The lift pass is free for under 9s
Bigger kids will use the train and then lifts to go on the blues and reds.
They also provide lunch and come back with the train 15:00-15:30, allowing for a pretty full day for the adults.
We recently went to the excellent Les Crosets area of the PdS and the ESS teachers were great, but the lessons are only half-day apart from Friday.
