Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Resort suggestions

Hi Smile

I was wondering if anyone could suggest resorts for an early March trip?

Doesn't need to be big, but would be nice to have access to 4 different blue/green runs and maybe 4 reds as well. Not fussed about blacks/itineraries/off piste really. Don't need a babylift.

Looking for somewhere we can get to from Zurich without driving, ok with taxis for akward transfers between train stations etc.

Not bothered about nightlife. Would be great to find somewhere with a train station near the bottom lift so we could stay a bit further out in a cheaper place. Or just somewhere with cheaper lodgings I guess.

Thanks in advance Smile

Just about anywhere really, Swiss transport is so easy. If a place doesn't have a station you are guaranteed a well integrated bus link (the yellow post-busses) from the nearest station.

Of resorts I have been to, Davos and Klosters have stations (Zurich to Landquart then change to the narrow gauge RhB). So does Arosa (change at Chur) though our experience is the linked resort of Lenzerheide, a bus ride up from Chur. Similarly Flims (or Laax) is a bus from Chur.

Of those I would think you could find somewhere in either Lenzerheide or Flims to meet your requirements. Remember "cheap" for Switzerland may be more than you were hoping for, but try asking Jason of Snow Motions (info@snowmotions.com), the apartment he found us in Lenzerheide was very reasonable given it was half term.
