Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi Folks,

So i know its pointless but I am a bit anal and want to paint my buckles on my boots to refurbish them a bit.

Does anyone know what paint to use?

You would need something like Hammerite Direct to galvanised metal paint which can be painted onto pre-painted aluminum.

You can get touch-up paint for Golf clubs, probably just as good for Boot buckles

depending on the material, take them off & get them anodized (Aluminium) or powder coated. Will prob only be a few quid next time such a place does a dip.

@Mr.Egg, I would agree with that - take them off, dress them up with a needle file to remove any wear and tear and then get them anodized.
