Poster: A snowHead
|
I've been searching for a new jacket for next holiday, and found one I like the look of. It's by Hannah a Czech brand, and found it on Sport Pursuit, but can't find any reviews of many places at all that sell them. I'm going purely on looks here, but are they any good? I do feel the cold so need to be warm!

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I suspect they're similar to what Kilpi were a few years ago, in that you'll largely find them on Sport Pursuit and not many other places. If there are any similarities then I've been very happy with the value of the Kilpi stuff I've bought.

Ciara Got one a couple of years ago, from sport pursuit. Nice jacket, reasonably priced. Main zip broke on first outing.

I bought a lightweight fleece from them, very happy with it. Seems well made.

I bought my daughter a Hannah kids soft-shell from SportPursuit last year. It's a smart, well made bit of kit that has stood up well to the abuse dished out by a 9 year old.

Thanks all, sounds like they are a bit of a sports direct level brand (I've had lots of kit from there!) - but maybe a bit overpriced for what it is.

I just bought Hannah Brion ski gloves on the same premise - well-priced on SportPursuit, look good and the brand has some outdoor pedigree. Caveat Emptor, I guess!
Watch this space for reviews.

Good luck with the gloves, hope they are fab and cozy! You found a very old thread of mine, I ended up buying an Aldi Inoc jacket back in 2019, which was surprisingly warm and waterproof for the 2 holidays I wore it. I've bought a superdry for this year, as been wearing my Aldi one dog walking and it's a bit too dirty to save now.

Layne - Keep a look out on the Superdry Ebay store, and there's often % off offers from Ebay themselves, it was a real bargain... I'd never pay the full price!

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I know it's an old thread but while Hannah may only be on Sports Pursuit in the UK, if you go to the Czech Republic it's in all the big sports stores countrywide as well as their own brand store in the main Praha shopping mall so I think it's pretty reputable and decent quality. I can only assume they don't normally go beyond Czechia due to exchange rates/import duties etc.
