Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Some great powder yesterday above the Col du Lautaret, climbing up to the Galibier road ( https://www.strava.com/activities/2852219305 ) and then climbing up to the Crête de Côte Plaine with stunning views of La Meije and the Girosse glacier down to La Grave.

I was maybe skiing too fast and did not spot the obvious fin Laughing

I think a little harsh on yourself. Not that obvious, especially when partly covered by spray from a previous turn. Nice to get some turns in this early in November.

Yeah. I've done that in similar conditions. The real risk is not wrecking a ski but face planting hard into a barely covered rock.
