Poster: A snowHead

Hi Snowheads, looking at travelling from Morzine to Tignes during the season. Anyone have any experience of this or the best way to do it? Bus, train, are there inter resort transfers?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Tricky, don't know of any direct buses. I think the easiest way would be to bus back to Geneva airport and then change for a bus to Tignes. It would also be a tricky hitch.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I had a similar situation wanting to get from Val Thorens to Morzine in January. I had flown to Geneva and was doing a week in each resort. The easiest and cheapest way for me was to book two returns with a transfer company from Geneva Airport... going to Morzine via Geneva wasn’t as direct a route as you would drive but I couldn’t find a better way of doing it.

You'll need to Register first of course.

Bla Bla Car to Cluses.
Then train from Cluses to Bourg is about EUR 35 and takes 3-4 hours depending upon connections.
Then you have options from Bourg.

@Coco, Try and post on www.findtransfer.com. If you are flexible with times, you may find some transfer company is needing to move a mini-bus direct from Morzine to Tignes, and so would be happy for you pay part of the cost.
Failing that, then I would imagine the cheapest way is as others have said. Bus to GVA and then bus to Tignes.

You could have a look on Facebook for 1st lifts Tarentaise. Lots of operators on there offering transfers & a post on that page with your requirements might just find a solution.
