A mate has recently accidentally had his head cut off while playing Connect Four. Any snowHeads ever skied with their heads cut off?

My mate managed to dicapitate himself when falling off a lift snowboarding.
He boarded the whole week & got himself stitched up & sorted when back home in blighty.
He’s fine now and has a gnarly scar

I think the main things your mate needs to focus on are:
1) visit a good boot fitter who can allow for the change in his centre of gravity resulting from his missing head, probably by charging him a lot of money for some small foam wedges
2) taking lots of lessons, because he’ll need to relearn his technique. Ideally he should do this by paying hundreds of pounds to ski in a small, cold warehouse.
3) finding another mate without a head, so they can share a ski pass. Their joint absences of a head will fool the advanced biometric facial recognition that every ski resort has apparently installed to thwart lift pass sharing.
4) whatever happens, he should make sure to diy his next holiday and not go with an operator, unless he has kids, in which case he needs to go to la rosiere with ski esprit. I’ve no idea what this has to do with losing his head, but it pops up as an answer to most things.
5) Finally, has he considered either a sports massage or homeopathy? Lots of my mates found their heads grew back after trying these.

The crucial question is will he need winter tyres or snowchains ?

Don't forget to publish his phone number so he can get the best legal advice for this accident that wasn't his fault!!!

What colour and size is his helmet, now that he has no need of it?

Tell him not to loose heart, it can be done.

@Awdbugga, Given that 'Conect Four' was involved, I'm guessing that the helmet in question would be very small and pinkish (now blackened and shrivelled probably...?)

There's far too much emphasis on upper body movement. It's what happens in the legs and feet that matters.

@Gerry, I've skied and awful lot when I'm legless.

It’s taking upper and lower separation to the extreme.

I have encountered quite a few skiers who's heads are up their own back bottoms. They think they can ski and that seems to be enough for them

S'right, it's all in the shins - fix the shin and the skier will follow. It's why socks are so important. Frankly, people pay so much for boot fitting when they should really be going to a professional hosier.

Never encountered skiers missing the whole of their head, but come across a few missing parts. I seem to remember quite a few in Wengen that were missing chins. I understand that the condition can be addressed by doing some work.

If he has surplus/excess skin perhaps ski touring rather than pistes?

He still needs to wear a helmet..safety first!

No, that's a bad idea, his centre of gravity will now be too low for snow in Austria...

What about insurance, would it be cheaper with no head. Would you need to declare it as a pre existing condition.

Did this happen down the local Tea Club? It's just that I thought they were still occupied with Muffin the Mule.

Surely having your head cut off means it's time to take up boarding instead of skiing?

Tree skiing ought to be a breeze now - no longer have to worry about low branches
