Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just found this site

https://www.skiessentials.com/Chairlift-Chat/2020-Ski-Comparison-Mens-90mm-All-Mountain-Skis And it’s got a bunch of in depth useful reviews of skis.

Then there is Blister Review as well

https://blisterreview.com/

Any others you’d recommend? Obviously asking on here and using the search engine Blush

I just thought I would post about a recent endeavour of mine here as I think it can help skiers find the right equipment. Let me know if it is out of place.

We just launched an alpine ski comparator at www.soothski.com. It is a bit different than reviews as we use measured data on skis. As of Jan 2022, we physically measured more than 3000 skis!! We measure the shape, the weight, and also the bending stiffness (flex) and torsional stiffness (twist) at every mm along the full length of the ski. From these measurements, we calculate an ever increasing list of specs that you can use to compare skis. We also measure as many lengths of each model as we can (each has different specs)! It is free to use.

You can use this to compare skis, but also search by specs to find models/lengths that fit your criteria. We feel that it is a particularly powerful tool when used in combination with your own on-snow experience, ski reviews, etc. but you can tell us about it or if you want more/different features.

 snowHeads are a friendly bunch.

I'm biased because I founded and curate the ExoticSkis.com website...
But we've accumulated 221 postings about 68 small/indie brands (not the "big 10" ski companies) and have 500 listings for small or unusual ski builders (some deceased, most still kicking..).
Specialized...but pretty fun:

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Thanks so much Bob (in CH)! Glad you like the reviews and unfamiliar ski brands! Keep us posted on any new brands you see out there, and the next time we're in Verbier, we'll see if your place is available to rent!

Cheers.
- Eric.
