Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

What area in Austria has the most advanced skiing. 4 of us are going and we are all expert level and ski almost exclusively off Piste. Been to St Anton, Lech area. Looking for another area to try.

Depends if you want to access off the lift, or are prepared to earn your turns?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

As does Kitzbühel/Pass Thurn, Ischgl/Samnaun, Serfaus/Fiss/Ladis, the Nordkette above Innsbruck...
too many to mention. I would pick a place and hire a guide if I were you

Did you hire a guide when you were in St Anton? If not then you most likely have not seen the best St Anton has to offer.
Once drove over to meet friends in Saalbach Hinterglemm. A few in the group skied offpiste so we hired a ski-instructor to show us the offpiste (couldn't find any guides at the time) but what he was allowed to show us was very limited.

Probably best to go for somewhere where you can hire a proper guide e.g.

@Gregehman, might be worth asking a mod' to move this to the off piste section, where it'll see more traffic than in forum tech section.

St.Anton-Lech aka SkiArlberg is Austria’s best for advanced & off piste skiing.
No other area comes near, not even Ischgl

Another vote for Saalbach area. They have a vast amount of offpiste easy reached from the lifts. They also have/had a free ride event in Fiberbrunn and specific free ride terrain. Best bit is that not as many people hitting the offpiste as bigger more well known offpiste destinations as most Saalbach skiers are intermediate piste skiers. Also large resort for cruising when there is no powder

Another vote for Saalbach area.

Take a look at some of Richard Bergenholtz’s videos on YouTube. Richard and his Swedish friends run the Underbar in Saalbach, a very lively Scandinavian bar. They spend their evenings serving drinks and their days skiing the off-piste - and filming it.

Otherwise you'll just go on seeing the one name:
Otherwise you'll just go on seeing the one name:
Fieberbrunn, Arlberg, Ischgl/Galtur, Silvretta Montafon, Serfaus fiss, but really you can find really good/tough skiing in any of these or other areas if you are prepared to look for it, and 'earn your turns'.
