Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Resort & accommodation recommendations with a 1yr old baby

 Poster: A snowHead

We jumped the gun a bit and have booked flights to GVA for the last week in Jan next year Very Happy
Just assumed we'd go back to the place in Flaine we stayed at last time:
https://www.pierreetvacances.com/gb-en/fp_FTL_self-catering-premium-residence-les-terrasses-d-helios?season=WINTER
but have just discovered they don't accept babies in their onsite creche! Have to be 3 or up Sad

So we're thinking about other options but struggling to find something similar to the Helios. This is what we're looking for:
Short transfer from GVA (2hrs max.)
Good-quality, self-catered apartment
Onsite (or very close by) creche that takes 1yr tot (most are from ages 3 and up) for either for full days or a mix of full & half days
Ski-in/out
Onsite shop (or very close by)

Any recommendations/tips would be greatly appreciated!

Have a look at the MGM apartments in Samöens. There are two new complexes in the centre of town. They may have their own crèches but we used the halte garderie, which is the local crèche, also in town and very close to both new complexes (next door in one case). It is French run, so communication can be basic for non French speakers, but when we used it for several seasons a few years back, we were very happy with it.

I think that they took babies from less than 1 year as that was the reason we first came to the Grand Massif.
It's not ski in/ski out, but from experience, good childcare for very young children is hard to find so you may have compromise on something.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@mrchips, welcome to Snowheads.

Les P'tit Loups in Flaine takes them from 6 months up. It would be a quick ski bus ride down to the creche from Helios (or Eos, which is even closer) if you don't hire a car.

Indeed, that's our fall-back at the moment - however there's very little info available on the web about P'tit Loups in Flaine. I'm sure it's fine but we're perhaps a touch over-protective of our little one! Very Happy

Found this one in Les Gets: https://en.lesgets.com/les-fripouilles-nursery.html
Which looks really good, right at the Chavannes lift too Very Happy
