Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Repairing waterproof clothing

Hey folks

on our trip to whistler we had a small accident, Mrs NBT fell and the edges of her skis sliced though two layers of clothing and some of her knee. Great service from the piste patrol and local hospital, thankfully, but it's left us with a pair of waterproof skiing trousers (and some helly hansen thermals) with a nice straight cut over the knee.

Our insurance should cover us, but apparently we need to get quotes for repairs, so the questions is can anyone suggest a place we could try for said quotes? The local dry cleaners offers invisible mending but not for waterporrf gear I would imagine.

The Helly Hansens thermal pants were brand new as well so that's rather annoying!

I sent mine back to the manufacturer and they replaced the whole panel... It was XCR so it was worth it to me... only £30 plus pp to France and back..!!!

it'a a really old pair of trousers, plus I think they're canadian anyway - postgae would be more than sending it to those guys
